Next year, five members of our team are taking on one of the biggest challenges on the running calendar- the London Marathon.

On Saturday 24th April 2027, Nathaniel, Jade, Sam, Dan and Barry will be taking on 26.2 miles through the streets of London, all while raising money for a charity that has a very special place in our local community- Willen Hospice.

For each of them, there will be a different reason for taking part, but they have one thing in common – they’re all determined to make every mile count.

Willen Hospice

Based in Willen Village, Milton Keynes, Willen Hospice provides free specialist care and support to local people living with life-limiting illnesses, as well as support for their families and loved ones.

Its services include specialist inpatient care, support for people in their own homes through Willen at Home, a 24-hour palliative care advice service, wellbeing support and bereavement support.

The care provided isn’t just about treating physical symptoms. Willen Hospice takes a holistic approach, helping patients and their loved ones with the physical and emotional impact of life-limiting illness and helping people have the best possible quality of life for however long that may be.

And, as a local charity, fundraising plays a hugely important role. Willen Hospice relies heavily on donations and fundraising to continue providing its services free of charge to the local community.

That’s why we’re incredibly proud to have five members of our team taking on this challenge.

26.2 miles for a cause that matters

Training for a marathon takes months of commitment, early mornings, long runs and plenty of determination. But having a cause behind the challenge gives those miles an even greater purpose.

We’re looking forward to supporting our five runners every step of the way, from the training runs and fundraising efforts to race day itself.

And if you’d like to support them, every donation, no matter the size, will help raise vital funds for Willen Hospice and the care it provides to local people and their families. You can find their individual sponsor pages are below:
