Locum People, a leading provider of medical staffing across the UK, is pleased to announce that they have taken part ox5 run for Oxford Childrens Hospital. The OX5 run is a 5 mile track around the grounds of Blenheim Palace, and has over 850 people taking part. The event will hope to raise over £80,000 to help fund specialist equipment and extra facilities for young patients across the hospital.
Locum People has been a proud supporter of Oxford Childrens Hospital for many years and is excited to once again participate in the ox5 run. The company has a strong commitment to giving back to the community and is always looking for ways to support organisations that make a difference in the lives of others.
“We are proud to be a part of the ox5 run for Oxford Childrens Hospital,” said David Cook, Managing Director of Locum People. “Oxford Childrens Hospital is a great organisation that is making a real difference in the lives of children and their families. We are committed to supporting their work and helping them to continue to provide their essential services.”
Earlier in the month, the Milton Keynes-based group hosted an office charity day consisting of a homemade bake and pizza sale and an exciting raffle that saw the group raise £1756.
On Sunday 26th of March it was time to race! The team of 10 set out on the 5-mile run which took place in a very wet and windy Blenheim Palace. The whole team finished the run in under an hour, with Liam Oakes the HR Director taking 41st place.
After the success of the event, they will be looking for their next charity challenge and ways to raise even more money for the charity.
