Locum People are seeking a General Medicine Consultant to work in Merseyside long term.
The General Medicine department within an established hospital in Merseyside are on the search for a Locum General Medicine Consultant for a period of 3-6 months initially with a view to extend.
Job Description
- 40+ hours per week
- 10PA per week
- On call TBC
- The postholder will be responsible for providing Consultant cover to 20-28 General Medical inpatients in General Medical Outlier Wards
- Where the number of medical outliers is low, the postholder will be expected to participate in reviewing medical admissions in A&E, working together with AMU colleagues
- The successful candidate would have responsibility for the supervision of junior medical staff who work with them and will devote time to this activity on a regular basis
- Expected to work with local managers and professional colleagues in the efficient running of services and will share with consultant colleagues in the contribution to management
